I often wonder how many times a day I answer the phone with, "Dr. Sult's
Office, this is Trista." Whenever answering the phone at a medical clinic as
a receptionist, you never know who you're going to get on the other end.
The patient calling may have just been diagnosed with cancer, they may have
just been told that an invasive surgery is their only option, they may have
been told by several doctors that "it's all in their head," they may have
visited 13 different doctors in different states and still have no answers
to their questions. No matter who it is calling our office, it is our best
practice to treat them with the utmost respect and quality customer service.
We truly care about our patients and want to do everything that we can for
them.
This goes both ways. We appreciate patients that are kind and polite with
our entire staff. We work diligently to get patients in to see Dr. Sult as soon
as possible, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, and provide top-of-the-line
medical care. Essentially, scheduling an appointment to our office could change
their lives. Showing our staff kindness can go a long way.
So the next time you're in contact with a patient or medical staff or anyone
off the street, just remember that "Be kind, for everyone you meet is
fighting a battle you know nothing about." - Wendy Mass
